School Christmas Party

 

One of the perks of working at Sophia's school is that I have the opportunity to pop in on special events such as her Christmas party.

They did 2 different crafts (one involving food).

Then they had a feast.

Then they had a book exchange.

Sophia loved her book. It was a Palace Pets book that came with stickers.

Sophia had a great time and I had a fun time watching and helping.

One Crazy Night Before Christmas

Sophia was in her school's Christmas musical production called One Crazy Night Before Christmas. She was part of the choir (no speaking parts for her). She didn't want to try out for the speaking ones. Can't say I blame her.



These pics were taken during the daytime productions they did for the school. They performed again that evening for the parents but I ended up working backstage so I don't have pics of the evening one.

I'm really glad she chose to be a part of it because the school won't do another one for 2 more years.

It was super cute to watch all of them.

I think Sophia is glad she was a part of it. I think her favorite part was getting to wear pajamas to school that day so they'd already be ready to perform. The girl loves her pj's (just like her mama).

Hey Tooth Fairy!

Sophia lost her first tooth back on Nov. 9th at home. Luckily for us, it was one of the ones she was going to have pulled. Saved us some money.

 

Needless to say, Sophia was excited!

And we had cash on hand (we never have cash).....$5 because it was her first one.

She has several more wiggly ones so I think we need go to the ATM for cash.

Wait A Second!!!!

Wait a second! I missed some things from October. It's because I captured them on my phone instead of my camera. So here they are....

 

Pumpkin Carving With the Girl Scouts

 

We brought our own pumpkins and they supplied the tools. Sophia drew the design.

 

And I carved it using a fancy pumpkin carving motorized carving tool.

This was Monday....on Thurs. Sophia woke with a fever.

After a visit to the dr. we discovered it was strep..... 1st time this school year...

She had to miss 2 days of school due to the fever. But she got plenty of loveys from Cupcake and Muffin!

They definitely boosted her spirits!

Then we had Halloween....Sorry it's out of sequence!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween Sophia went trick or treating as Catty Noir from Monster High.

 

She really got into her character (she's a singer in the 13 Wishes movie).

The cats were her audience.

Then it was off to trick or treat. Russell took her around the neighborhood while I stayed home to pass out candy.

Sophia was done with pictures!

Off they went! After that, they went to a trunk or treat at our school put on by a local church.

The next day, we finally got around to decorating our pumpkins. Better late than never.

At the trunk or treat, Sophia got this rock with googly eyes as a prize. She decided on Saturday that she wanted to make a condo for him. She named him Rocky. So here's Rocky's condo.
