A Family That Cleans Together.....

A family that cleans together....
....makes mama very happy.

Thankfully, since we got a nice rainfall last night, Russell couldn't mow this morning. And lucky for me, he was willing to clean the floors.

Happy Grandparent's Day!!

Not sure how to move these pics about. I've tried clicking and dragging. Not working. Anyways, maybe you can tell that Sophia "helped" make brownie bites for her Nana and Paw-Paw. Her favorite part was licking the bowl. And she was very excited to deliver all 3, yes 3!, brownie bites. The package  made 12. I sampled one (to make sure they were safe to eat). And prior to making it to her grandparent's house, she'd eaten 8. I guess they were quite tasty. In fact, Nana and Paw-Paw were kind enough to share their remaining brownie bites with Sophia.

And the reason for the visit in the first place was to celebrate Grandparent's Day.

Sophia has awesome grandparents! We were able to talk on the phone this morning to her NY grandparents. They got a kick out of her too!
Happy Grandparent's Day!

Our Solo Trip to the Park

Sophia wanted to go back to the same park that we went on Monday with Atticus, so we returned. Unfortunately, she kept asking "Where's Atticus?". So she was very disappointed when she realized he wasn't coming to play (out of town on a trip).

But she managed to have a little fun, although you could tell she missed her best buddy.

Sophia insisted on wearing this long sleeved shirt and pants even though it was way to warm for them.

After a while, I decided to quit hovering and sat on a bench to watch her play.

It wasn't as fun without Tricia and Atticus but at least the weather was nice and we were able to play outside.

Everywhere That Atticus Went....

Our Labor Day started off with a relaxing play date with Atticus and Tricia. Finally, Mother Nature cooperated with us for once.

So here it goes...
(sung to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb)
Everywhere that Atticus went, Atticus went, Atticus went,

Everywhere that Atticus went, Sophia was sure to go.

I'm sure there are more verses, but you get the picture. Sophia followed Atticus everywhere.

Over hills!

Down hills!

Oh wait! Then Atticus was following Sophia.

Oh, now we're back to Sophia following her Atticus.

Atticus showing Sophia the best parts of Chisholm Park (random people...MOVE).

She almost followed him to the ground.

Almost.....

In the end, it was all about the best buddies watching the ducks.

It ended with Sophia not wanting to leave because, "I love my Atticus! I don't want to leave". (said while crying). Until next time.....

Good Times!

Sunday started off with Sophia playing resteraunt. It was so funny. She has this litttle book that she uses as our menu. She then decided to open up her resteraunt to her entire stuffed animal population. These 4 lucky guests got the only table there.
Then Uncle Brice and Aunt Cynthia came over to cook out on the grill, but mostly to play with Sophia.

They brought her this cool Cars toy that shoots the car across the room.

Then it was time to work her puzzle.

Then, we watched the Aggie game of course.

Gig 'Em!

We even managed to get Sophia to out her jersey on for a few seconds.

After we finished eating, Sophia couldn't wait to bust out her doctor set and take everyone's blood pressure. Then, she wanted us to check her out.

Poor bunny! Sophia was being silly and threw him over her shoulder. He landed in her plate that had ketchup on it. We got a bleeder! Good thing we have a doctor set!

She of course thought it was hilarious!

Good times, good times!
