Our 12 year wedding anniversary is today, Sunday, August 29th. We celebrated it on Friday by going out to Pappaedeaux and letting my parent's babysit Sophia overnight. It was nice to relax and eat with just the 2 of us, although, we did miss our little angel.
The next day, Sophia and I went to the Splash Pad to meet up with Tricia and Atticus. For some reason, Sophia did not want to leave my lap. She wanted to eat her cookies and sit in my lap. We were finally able to get her to go play by telling her to chase Atticus.
And boy did she chase him!
They were also all about hugs. It was so funny to watch because they'd start out hugging and it will eventually develop into a wrestling match.

Later that evening, we headed over to Nana and Paw-Paw's house for swimming. The husbands had gone to my parent's church for some "manly" gathering so we ladies decided to hang out together. Sophia followed Jack everywhere!
This little guy was trying to join them in the pool.
Today, we went and bought Sophia a new pair of shoes since she's outgrown her tennis shoes already. Now she's into an 8 1/2. This time though, we actually went to Payless and had her measured and let her run around inside the store with them on to make sure they felt good on her feet. Then, we went to Barnes and Noble for some new books for her. Then back to the house for a nap. Tonight, we're grilling steaks, having bacon wrapped shrimp, baked potatoes and asparagus (to celebrate the whole anniversary thing...one more time). Happy anniversary Russell!

Look at all of Sophia's long hair!!!! Wow! Such fun pictures at the splash pad. Happy Happy Anniversary - here's to many more! I could have predicted that bacon wrapped shrimp - glad you are enjoying your evening.
12 years! Congrats! and wow S's hair is getting so long. So my new idea is a childrens book based on these two... Tricia writes it... Erin, Erin you illustrate it and I get the first copy... REALLY, you should consider this!
