Christmas Eve started off with Sophia playing in her "castle" provided by Amazon.com.
We pretty much had a lazy morning. I cooked a little. Sophia and I attempted to go on a run but it was super cold and windy. So we only lasted about 2 miles.
After we got all of our food ready and got ourselves ready, it was time to head or to Nana and Paw-Paw's house.
She looks soooo much like Russell in this pic.
We got there around 2 and Jack (and Aunt Amy and Uncle Jay) arrived shortly after. He was playing a game on his dad's Ipad but he kept calling it his "Ice Pad".
It's amazing what kids come up with to pass the time. They were chasing each other around in circles.
Finally everyone was there so it was time to eat.
Here's Russell giving my dad some love.
My mom attempted to read the Christmas Story to the kids.
But these 2 boys were preoccupied.
Then it was time to do our Christmas Eve gift exchange.
The kids all still get gifts from the adults and Sophia got her very own laptop so she can be like her mom and dad.
After that, we played Bingo!
Then it was time to get ready for bed so Santa could come. The boy cousins and their parents all spend the night but the Kaminski's (living only 5 minutes away), always stay at our own house.
Once at home, Sophia reminded us to put out the reindeer food so Santa's reindeer could find the house.
Here's Russell putting it out in the backyard.
Milk and cookies....check.
Then we checked on our cable station for Santa's current location.
Then it was off to bed. Sweet dreams sweet Sophia.

I think it's funny how you say you and Sophia "attempted" to go on a run...I'd say two miles...is more than a run...that's a journey!! HA! :)
Oh, we are gonna have to start leaving reindeer food and those Santa cookies look very yummy!! Sophia does look alot like her daddy :) and I am very proud of mommy's two mile run. Adam got all new running stuff so he can start back at it- I , myself and considering doing the 'couch to 5k' program... I said considering- :)
What a day! I agree... haven't made it two miles for a while now.
