This week was kind of a sad week for me. We had Donna's retirement party after school on Wednesday. Doesn't Donna look amazing??!! It was sad because it means Donna retiring is actually real. Boo hoo!
The other sad part was seeing this pic above. Do you ever look at a picture of yourself and go "Oh my gosh, is that me"?
Well, I had one of those moments. When I saw this pic, I wanted to cry. I look terrible. I do have to give myself a break though, I had been teaching all day. But so had Donna and she looks great. So I'm going to start working on my appearance a little more.
Donna is holding a mini-book I made for her posted on Kaminski's Creations.
Saturday we spent cooped up in the house, cleaning like maniacs. So we rewarded ourselves with a little park time on Sunday. I promise Tricia and Atticus are there, but my camera battery died shortly after we got there.
After that, we headed to a couple of mattress stores and bought a new mattress for ourselves. After 13 years on the one we currently have, I think it's time. I'm tired of back issues and not sleeping soundly. And the best thing is, it will be delivered tonight!!!! We ended up with the Tempur-pedic Cloud Luxe. Can't wait!!!!

First, sad for you and Wilshire, but thrilled for Donna and her grandbabies! 2nd, almost every hard working teacher I know looks un-her best at 3:30... aside from Donna who ALWAYS looks polished and put together even camping out!!
It was fun celebrating Donna! You are way too hard on yourself. And that new park was fun!

I am so happy for Donna and so sad for all of you! (Wait, is that what Kristy said? Well, we know what we are talking about and we think alike!) Also, to make you feel better I will send along a picture of me. Then you will know how bad it can be! You had to have ironed that shirt and those pants at least!! :) Hope you are loving your bed!!
You have to be more kind to yourself! At least you are in shape. I looked at a recent photo of myself with my team on Earth Day and saw what a whale I have become and joined a gym the next week. Kuddos to you for juggling a little one running around, a full time and stressful job and still taking care of yourself with your running AND for squeezing in time for special projects for Sophia and that amazing book you made for Donna. You are woman, hear you roar!
Oh! and.... I wanted to say yea for you for your mattress. We have a tempurpedicish bed (same thing, different brand) and I LOVE IT!!!! Like seriously, I LOVE it! I will never go back. Hope you are enjoying it as much as I do mine!
