Once we got there, we had the code to get into their house and waited for them to get home.
We went out to dinner and just at the end of the yummy meal, Sophia threw up all over the table and herself. Thank goodness I had her extra set of clothes in a plastic Ziploc bag so I could put her vomit clothes in her back pack without stinking it up.
After that, she felt much better and seemed to play okay until.....
the diarrhea began. She'd had diarrhea on Mon. and it had started to get better. We'd gone to the dr. and were told she looks good. To me that meant, there was nothing wrong with her. Well, once she started with the diarrhea again, I called her dr. back to talk to a nurse to find out if there was anything we could do. And also to find out if she might be contagious. Apparently, yes, she was diagnosed with a stomach virus but the dr. failed to tell me that or that she was contagious. That first night, she had diarrhea off and on all night and we went through about 5 pairs of undies.
We attempted to get Sophia to sleep with the girls in a trundle bed. She started out there with them, watching a movie. But eventually, she kept crying so I took her to our bed and she slept with us for the first. Actually, Russell slept on the floor. BOY does she toss and turn.
I hope this doesn't become a pattern. And I hope the diarrhea stops soon.
