On Sunday, we headed to the park for a playdate with Atticus and Tricia (Tri). Monday was going to be her birthday so we brought her a birthday present. We got her (and I say we because Sophia helped pick out all the stuff...excluding the book and trashy magazines) a beach bag filled with a beach towel, trashy magazines, a book and sunscreen. We also brought everyone Starbucks, including Atticus (water) and Tri (I somehow remembered that she likes the Chai Tea latte, couldn't remember hot or cold so I opted for cold).
After a little play, we brought out the kite Sophia had gotten a while back from Nana and Paw-Paw. Let me tell you ladies, it's so nice to bring a husband or 2 to the playdate so that the mommies can catch up on everything while the daddies entertain the kids.
I couldn't believe they got that thing in the air considering how little of a breeze there was.
Apparently flying a kite draw a crowd. Another successful playdate! And happy birthday Tri!

Oh, sister...that was such a sweet surprise. You and Sophia know me so well, right down to the trashy magazines (I always bring some to Caddo) and sunscreen. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I love you guys!
