It seems like we've been celebrating Sophia's birthday forever. She's had a really long birthday week. It all started on June 9th with her friend party at Build-A-Bear. And it finally came to an end on June 18th, her actual birthday.
We started the day off with our tradition of pancakes (she gets to pick the color she wants them to be). She chose a light pink this year (I think she's chosen pink every year, LOL).
She wanted chocolate syrup on top (we also added chocolate chips to the pancakes).
And this year, she LOVED my pancakes (unlike last year).
Then she was off to school where they were also celebrating her birthday.
Check out her Rapunzel cookie cake. Pretty cool!
Russell picked her up from school so I could finish up cooking and decorating for her birthday (I made one of her favorite dinners...homemade chicken nuggets and mac n cheese).
I made chocolate cupcakes and had them iced and ready for Sophia to decorate with sprinkles.
But her favorite thing was eating the leftover icing.
Then it was time to open presents.
She was super excited about getting a baby princess that can ride on her bike.
She was even excited about her princess sheets.
Then she wanted to decorate more cupcakes.
She also got to open the gift she got from her Grandpa and Grandma K.
Sophia couldn't wait to eat one of her cupcakes!
Russell had to mow the lawn, so as soon as he was done, we let Sophia open the gift she got from her Aunt Brandy, Uncle Cam, Maddie and Anna (it involved some assembly and I don't do assembly). She couldn't wait to put her baby princess in the bed, stroller and high chair that they gave her.
Russell of course was more than happy to put it all together...LOL!
Sophia had such a great birthday week and a half. Thanks to everyone that made it special. We still have to make her stepping stone but other than that, her birthday week is complete.
