Today was Sophia's first official day of swim lessons. She has taken Mommy and Me lessons at the rec but got strep and only went for a week. She's been exposed to water since she was a baby because of my parent's pool so I really wanted these lessons to teach her to swim or at least no what to do if she falls in a pool.
But Jack took lessons here so I trust Amy's judgement on swim lessons.
Sophia is only 1 of 3 students (anyone who thinks class size is not an issue...go visit the swim teachers).
Sophia was very weary of Anita. But you know what...that actually made me happy. I DON'T WANT Sophia to go with strangers.
and to this day, Sophia will not talk to strangers. Maybe THAT'S why she's so shy. I don't care.
A couple of times, she looked over at me and said, "mommy".
"Mommy!"
"Mommy!!!!"
But by the end of the lesson she was more comfortable and had fun.
Hopeing Day 2 goes even better.

Woo hooooo! I know that little voice so well, I actually heard her saying "mommy" as I read your comments. And good point about being shy and not going with strangers!
