Columbus Day

Monday (Thank you Mr. Columbus and HEB ISD), was spent running errands and visiting with some family that also had they day off. My parents had the day off because they'd gone on a weekend trip and took Monday as a personal day and Robin's kiddos also had the day off from school. So not everyone got to go.
We met up at my parent's house around 11 and headed to Fuddrucker's in Bedford. My dad picked it since his birthday is on Tuesday and we were taking him out for lunch in honor of this special occasion.
It's always so fun to see Sophia have fun with her cousins.
Sophia had the grilled cheese but quickly started eating off of my plate of chicken nachos. She LOVED the sour cream...if you couldn't tell by her face.
The boys wanted to play video games and Sophia was quickly won over to go play some of them too. She quickly began asking for more and more money. Uh oh! I think she's addicted!

After that, we headed back to Nana and Paw-Paw's house to hang out. I'm glad we had the day off to hang out with everyone. Happy birthday Dad! We love you!

Sophia's First Field Trip/ The Pumpkin Patch

Sophia's first field trip with her PK was this past Friday. We went to a pumpkin patch in Flower Mound. When we got there we had to wait because we got there too early. And Sophia was super excited to be there. We were glad because the whole way there she had cried. We're not sure why. Logic flies out the window with toddlers so I've given up trying to make sense of it all.

Yea! We finally get to go in!

Sophia was very weary of trying something without us, so she'd only go on the slide if we went with her.

We got to go on a hayride.
And Sophia got to pick out a pumpkin. She would only pick up the ones with the best handles.

And Sophia cried during the group shot. Wish I could explain it but I can't. We're thinking maybe she was afraid with all the parents around and so close taking pics?

Yea! Finally something she'll do without one of us!

She enjoyed climbing up the hay! Or should I say being lifted by dad up the hay?

Sometimes you just gotta take a break. Why not use a pumpkin?

 Her obsession with pigs continues!
And they had horses there and they scared the poop out of her. Not literally. She stayed dry and clean all day! But she was terrified of them!

Sophia was super distraught over the stemless pumpkin.

Then it was snack time! Here are a few pics I took while she was munching.

 The Backyardigans!
Letting her hair down and getting those shoes off. We kidded her about having stinky feet all the way home.
Yes, and her foot did make contact with my camera lens. Good thing I have a UV filter on it!
