Missing....Candy Corn

Missing: Candy Corn

I put this vase with candy corn by the fire place on Saturday. It was about 1/3 of the way full. Now look at it.

Introducing my suspects.....
Sophia....
when questioned she blamed it on Mona. Hmmm.... I think I've heard one that before (from myself).

And introducing my other suspect....
Russell....
when questioned blamed it on Sophia.

I'm not sure who to believe. But I'm pretty sure I can rule out Mona, seeing as how if she did indeed dip her paws into the vase, she surely would have knocked it over. Right?
So the mystery continues....

On another note, Sophia has been progressing rather quickly with writing her name. Earlier this week, she could only write S-O-P. Now she can write all the letters and she doesn't need help with knowing which letter comes next.

That S is pretty tricky.

But with practice, she's getting it! Yea!!!!

Is it Fall Yet????

Is it Fall yet? I think officially it is, but in TX, we have to decorate to make it feel more "Fall-ish".

This past Saturday, I decided it was going to be a crafting weekend, hoping that it would bring on a cold front. No such luck. But at least it feels like Fall. One of my favorite seasons. In fact, it may be my favorite one.

Since Sophia always wants to "help" me with my crafting projects I decided to give her one of her own. Unfortunately, that was short lived. The glue got way out of hand.
So we switched to painting Charlie Brown magnets. She wasn't really feeling it.

But I was in the crafting zone!

So here's a sneak peak of our Fall crafts so far with more to come.
Sophia has been super obsessed lately with letters and trying to write her name. She's gotten the S-O-P down. Still working on the H-I-A. I have to give her props for getting the S down. She got frustrated with that letter.

Then after our hard work, it was time to have a much deserved Popsicle and to chill outside.

Please see Kaminski's Creations for more info on my crafts.

What a fun weekend!

Haapy Birthday September Birthday Babies!

Happy birthday September Birthday Babies! One of which, being Koby! My nephew. Hard to believe he turned 13 on Sunday.

Here he is as a baby. And here he is as the young teenager....breaks my heart a little bit. He's no longer a baby. But, he's grown up into such a great young man and that makes me happy.

Sophia was all about the dessert today.

And the money that she got from her great-grandma (not sure why, I guess that's whats grandparent's do?? Mine never did).

Cousin Jack is trying to convince her it's $7 bill.

I don't think she believed him.

My grandma's birthday is the day after Koby's.

Sophia was so animated during the gift part.

And during the singing part.

And yes...during the dessert part.

She was a little disappointed she wasn't the first one served. Diva????

One satisfied party goer!

Edelweiss

I wasn't there for this outing. I was out with a group of Happiness Project Girls (yep, I was being self indulgent and hanging with my fellow moms who also read The Happiness Project). So all of this post is via word from Russell and Sophia.

They went with Uncle Brice, Aunt Cynthia and some of their friends. And reportedly, Sophia was super shy and clingy.

And WOULD not cooperate with the photographer at all.

Except when she became the photographer.

I can only imagine what Russell was thinking here. Feel free to leave your guess in the comments section. :)

Or guess what Sophia was thinking here!

According to Sophia they had a stage and a band. AND they played The Chicken Dance. I asked her if she did the Chicken Dance and she said no. So I guess she just enjoyed listening to it. According to Russell, he said it was very loud and crowded. So that probably explains the sour looks from Sophia. Plus, we had to wake her up from her nap to get there in time.

Alvederzane!!!
