The Zoo

Tuesday, Sophia's PK went on a field trip to the zoo. Russell and I were both lucky enough to be able to take off to go with her.
Needless to say, she was super excited!

And couldn't wait to go in! We had to kill a little time before it opened.

Finally, they got to go in and see some animals!

And some dinosaurs! They have dinosaurs replicas scattered throughout the zoo. They were native to Texas and they are mechanical, so they move and make sounds. And guess who wasn't scared??? Sophia. She said, "Mom! I'm not scared!!! (as she was jumping up and down).

It was a really good day for the zoo. It was mostly cloudy, not too hot and all the animals were out. Oh, and it wasn't too crowded! But these bright yellow shirts sure do help us spot our kiddos!

And guess who was brave enough to touch a snake?? Sophia!!! I couldn't believe it!

It was a really good field trip! I don't think I'll ever go to the zoo again in the summer. It's so much more enjoyable in the Spring.

What a fun day! And how special for Sophia to have both you and Russell there. How cool that she was not afraid of the snake OR the dinosaurs!
