This Little Piggy.....

This is us getting ready on Friday morning before school. It was Sophia's first time in full costume. And she had to be persuaded with M & M's. I was dressed as a pig too at my school (we were the 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf).

Yep, I'm giving Russell "the look".  I can't remember exactly why, but I think it had something to do with trying to get Sophia into her costume.
Next it was time for hair.
Poor Sophia!!!
This little piggy cried wee, wee all the way to daycare. But once she got there and saw everyone else in their costumes, she was on board and enjoyed it.
Actually, she warmed up to the idea a little at the house before they left. But Russell said the whole car ride she whimpered in the back seat.
Fast forward to Sunday night. Here we are getting ready to go to my mom and dad's house.
We met up over there to take pictures and have snacks. Then, we left for a carnival at their church.

Will was a ninja.

We had plenty of time to chill out and play before we had to leave.
Sophia even cooperated and put on her piggy nose. Too bad it takes up half of her face. But it does make pig noises though.

Carnival Time!

Sophia really enjoyed getting more and more candy. Last year, she didn't really "get it", especially because she hadn't had much candy experience. But this year, she's a candy connoisseur.
We even got to go on a hayride.

Everything was fine until she saw a man dressed up like Fred Flintstone, complete with a mask. She hates costumes with masks. She would not stop crying.
Aunt Robin tried to distract her with a cake/cookie walk.
Then it was time for the games. Once Sophia realized you earned candy for playing, she wanted to do them all.

Including this one where instead of candy, you earn a live fish.
Russell was super excited about it!

The night wasn't complete without another Fred Flintstone sighting. Freaked her out!
Once we got home and into jammies, we put her new fish into a bowl of water. We asked what she wanted to name him and she said Nemo.
Sadly, Nemo did not make it through the night. Poor Nemo!

Sophia is the cutest piggy EVER! (You're a close second, Mom.) The look...I cracked up at that picture. What mom hasn't given dad the look?! And Russell with the fish...he's funny. Poor Nemo and poor Fred Flintstone. Happy Halloween, Sophia!
