Christmas Morning

This Christmas  morning was really special. It's been the first Christmas that Sophia is very aware of what's going on, the whole Santa thing etc., and one where we were home.

Santa knew how much Sophia wanted a kitchen. And he delivered. She had picked out the pink retro model versus the more colorful version.

I'm not sure if Sophia quite knew what to make of all the presents and her presents from Santa. But it was very nice to spend the morning quietly with our little girl.

Oh yes! There were other presents to open besides just Sophia's.

Here she is in her Cindy Lou Who towel.

Then we were off to Nana and Paw-Paw's house to exchange gifts and eat breakfast.

Sophia started with her stocking from Santa which included gum. She's been asking me everyday if she can have it....so far, it's a no go on the gum.

She got a princess coloring activity tray, stickers, coloring frame and cute shirt from Aunt Robin and Uncle Tim.

She got a stocking full of stuff from Nana and Paw-Paw and this cool apple pie to play with in her kitchen.

And she got this super beautiful princess dress from Aunt Amy and Uncle Jay, which she insisted on immediately putting on.

Trying to get 4 kids to look the same direction and smile is impossible.

Yes, we're nerds. Sophia and I have matching pj's. But they're owls. We had to have them. Sophia's name means wisdom and the Greek goddess Athena is the goddess of wisdom and the symbol for Athena is an owl.

She was starting to pout here for some reason. She didnt' give you the full effect of her pouting because her head isn't down with her arms crossed.

Merry Christmas!

Sometimes I feel like Sophia and I are kindred spirits...I love gum, I sometimes pretend pout for no reason, and I would 100% choose a retro kitchen (especially a pink one!) What a fun Christmas for the Kaminskis!

Fun! What a treat to spend the morning at home! Silly Santa giving Sophia gum though! I think he wanted to make life interesting for Mommy and Daddy for a little while. ;)
