2nd Dentist Visit

Today, Sophia stayed home from school to go to the dentist, her 2nd dental visit. Sophia loved the table train set that she got to play with before they saw us.

And that's the skirt I made her for Christmas. She wanted to wear it today. It's a little big but it was a 4T/5T size on the pattern. 3T would have been too small. And she loved swooshing around in it.

Now back to the dentist....

She layed on the table just fine. It helps they have a movie playing on the ceiling. Dude, where was that when I was a kid???

They even had her put on sunghlasses so the lamp wouldn't be too bright. How nice are they? Unfortuntely, that was what freaked her out. She didn't like that part.

But did sit still enough to let him check her out. They are really good there. They don't do too much too soon. I really like that. No reason to make them dread the dentist too early. There will be plenty of time for that for Sophia.

He said her teeth looked good and proceeded to call out all of these code words to his assistant who was filling in Sophia's file. If only I knew what the code words meant. Chalky? Doesn't sound good. He said her molars looked a little chalky but they won't be able to tell if there is a cavity until they x-ray her. Sigh.....I think she inherited my teeth. Booo!!!! Why couldn't she have inherited Russell's teeth??? Perfectly straight teeth, NO cavities, no root canals, no braces......sigh. Well, she did get his eyes. And those are my favorite!

I didn't even know what a dentist was till I was 15. She sure is getting tall and skinny. Will have to get her over, out by the pool and have some ice cream to fatten her up some LOL. Our little girl is growing up so fast and is so beautiful just like her mother. Bring her swim suit for the traditional whirlpool dip Christmas Eve -- Lov ya'll--Paw Paw
