The Villages

What have we been up to lately? Hmmm.....Putting the finishing touches on our villages. We added 2 new houses to the Grinch village. And needless to say, Sophia's favorite part is running the train. Big surprise there! :)

Of course, she had to have  her Grinch accessories in her hair.

And we've been making cookies.

Beware moms! Those sugar cookie packages that show cookies on the front that have sprinkles on them....are only a serving suggestion. Make sure you have sprinkles on hand to add. Of course, that was not a problem for us because Sophia loves sprinkles on anything so I always keep them on hand.

And last but not least, Sophia is being trained to run the train. Not the little Grinch train. But the BIG BERTHA Kaminski legacy train. She was so disappointed she couldn't touch the houses (I'm not even really allowed to touch them). But Russell is cool with her running the train that's almost as old as the houses, inherited from his dad.

And let me tell you....she's a natural at it! She runs it WAY better than I do. I'm too ADHD. I get distracted and forget which lever to pull.

Not Sophia! It makes me so happy that we have this family tradition and that she looks forward to it. She wants to run the train everyday. Of course we wait for dad to get home to run it. Cause, Lord knows I'm useless when it comes to the train.

Of course, the village is most beautiful with the overhead lights turned off.

But blurry. Oh well!

Fun! That legacy train is the BEST! Sophia is so lucky to have it in her home and to be able to keep it forever!

Wow- I wish we could see it in real life- I love the grinch village around the tree- where did you get it? We have three cheap ols houses of a village and mike LOVES them- he would flip if he saw yours and then hit the floor when he saw a train ran through it!!
